The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost Review
The Body Shop’s Vitamin C Skin Boost might rank as one of the less favorable products from this beloved brand. In my search for a reliable daily moisturizer that could revive my dull complexion and deliver a fresh, luminous look, the product was recommended by a sales associate at the store. A quick test application on my wrist made it feel silky smooth, and the enticing tangerine scent captivated my senses. Unfortunately, this product turned out to be a disappointing investment.
Regrettably, I overlooked checking the ingredient list prior to my purchase, which revealed an abundance of silicones known to be detrimental to the skin. Despite the label claiming to feature vitamin C-rich Amazonian camu camu and Community Trade Brazil nut oil, the product failed to impart any noticeable radiance. While it initially feels smooth and soft upon application, I found that it actually led to breakouts on my combination skin over time. Although marketed as a potential makeup base, I was reluctant to experiment further. It provided no oil control and did not help in evening out my skin tone, ultimately leaving my skin irritated.
This product comes in a 30 ml bottle equipped with a pump, yet a drawback is the lack of visibility regarding how much product remains. A single pump suffices to cover both the face and neck, delivering only a fleeting glow that I deem not worth the investment.
The Body Shop Vitamin C Skin Boost is priced at $27 in the United States and can be found in the UK for £15 under the name ‘Vitamin C Skin Reviver’. My recommendation? Skip this product; it’s merely expensive silicone with added fragrance.
